In addition to hosting advertising information for KJIK radio and GilaValleyCentral, this site hosts blog posts about advertising and marketing that help our clients get the most out of their marketing efforts.

About the people behind the scenes:

Dan Curtis
General Manager/Publisher

Dan was raised in Safford and has lived here most of his life. He was trained in audio engineering at the College for Recording Arts in San Francisco. He spent 12 years in the San Francisco Bay Area working in live sound and recording. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Business and a Master of Science in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University.

Dan has managed Majik 100.7 FM since it went on the air in 2003. He has worked in radio for 22 years. He has written and produced thousands of radio commercials. Dan is also a musician and has written a handful of jingles for advertising.

Roger Martin
Graphic design – Art Director/Production & Accounts Manager

Roger joined Majik 100.7 FM in January of 2012 and brought many years of business management experience. His prior experience includes department management in a large national bank, working in customer service and collateral management. He’s worked project management in the construction/remodeling field, and he also owned a business in Tempe along with his wife Kathi.

Roger received his degree in advertising art which he wanted to do ever since he was in high school. It was either Graphic Arts or Rock Star! He still plays rock star on the weekends and we have seen it. We think Graphic Arts was the right decision.

Chris Taylor
Advertising Executive

Chris Taylor is a 6th generation resident of Safford where he was born and raised. Chris graduated from Safford High School in 2004. In 2007 he joined the U.S. Army where he served in the Special Operations Forces as a Psychological Warfare Team Leader. Chris graduated from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School and the U.S. Army Special Forces Spanish Language School both located at Fort Bragg, NC. He became an Airborne Paratrooper and served two combat tours in Afghanistan for a total of 18 months.

Upon returning home to Safford Chris met his beautiful wife Sarah at Eastern Arizona College. They were married in June 2014. Their adorable baby girl Jordan was born in July 2015. Chris founded Desert Eagle Addiction Recovery where he serves as Executive Director. He enjoys being active in the community and volunteers in a variety of ways such as a state certified Firefighter for the Safford Fire Department, Director of the Gila Valley Recreation Foundation, President-elect of the Safford Rotary Club, Chairman of the Recovery subcommittee of the Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition and as a Safford City Council Member. Chris also serves as a Leader in the Boy Scouts of America where he earned his Eagle Scout Award as a young man.

Brooke Curley
Advertising Executive / Reporter

Brooke Curley was born in California and raised in the Gila Valley. Brooke Curley is an EAC and BYU-I graduate. Specializing in art and creative writing, she lives in the Gila Valley. She moved back to the valley with her family 2011. A professional writer and reporter, she has completed three books. She is an active dancer and performs yearly at the Arizona Renaissance Festival. She is part of the historical dance troupe, the Danseries. She enjoys meeting new people, learning new things, and experiencing life. She is married and has three beautiful kids and one Rottweiler who thinks he’s a kid too.
